Regarding school-based OH programs. How do your programs encourage parents to submit consent forms? What is the strategy to inform parents about the benefits of OH that will inspire them to check the YES box for school-based OH care?

@Primavera - The clinics work closely with the schools and they send the required forms home with the children so the parents can fill them out at home and send them back with their child. The schools admin staff will follow up with any parent that did not return the form. With one our clinics, we paid for a pizza party for the first class that turned in all their forms.

Yes, thank you for pointing out the hardships surrounding childcare and the lack of kid-friendly spaces.

Community outreach is what brings the community at the door and overall clinic culture is what keeps them coming

Completely agree, for our SF community members, too Andrea. Showing up where they are, building trust over time.. loyalty will come - to show up at their appts, to be able to converse with the dentists, etc.

Paula, Our community health outreach workers follow up with parents/guardians of all students who have an urgent need or early dental care recommended based on school dental screenings. They help the family navigate their child to care( if they wish) and help them with their oral health literacy, provide education, etc.
